We keep things simple here. No complicated booking forms to fill in, just a chat with the team about what you’re after. Here’s how to get started:
What kind of gathering? A birthday doesn’t have to mean a big party. Maybe it’s a relaxed lunch in the garden with family, or a lively evening with friends over a few drinks. You decide the vibe and we’ll make it work.
Book ahead if you can. We’re a busy pub, especially at weekends, so the earlier you let us know the better. We suggest at least 6–8 weeks notice but if your birthday’s coming up fast, give us a call and we’ll see what we can do.
Sort your guest list. Think about numbers first as that helps us figure out the best spot for you. A smaller group might suit the dining area; a bigger family bash with plenty of kids running around is perfect for the garden on a nice day or you could take over the whole pub! And if you’re a large group driving in from different places, the good news is we’ve got loads of parking.
Food and drink. We’ll talk you through the menu and sort out the drinks. We cater for all tastes and dietary needs, so everyone goes home happy.
Set the mood. Want the big game on in the background? We’ve got TV screens. Fancy heading out to the garden for a few drinks in the sun? Tick.Hiring the space privately and want to bring in a DJ or do karaoke? We can make that happen. Your birthday - your rules.
Need a room? Think Uncle Pete might not make it home? Book him a room! Our rooms are clean, comfortable and come served with a delicious morning-after breakfast. From porridge to a sausage bap, full English to avocado and poached eggs, just tell us what you like.
